The Queen of Sheba
group is an informal working group, comprised of a number of individuals
with an interest in the art, history and culture of southern Arabia and
its associated lands.
The group has
been meeting regularly to plan a programme around the main Sheba event,
the British Museum exhibition ‘The Queen of Sheba: Treasures from Ancient
Yemen’. So far, the group has organised an exhibition of Freya Stark
photographs at Magdalen College, Oxford, several concerts of Yemeni music
which took place throughout the UK.
